Marion Chesney
Marion Chesney has written such a variety of books in different genre that it makes your head spin. Ms. Chesney has authored over 85 novels to date, and she's known not only by M.C. Beaton and Marion Chesney, but as Sarah Chester,Helen Crampton, Ann Fairfax, Marion Gibbons, Jennie Tremaine, and Charlotte Ward. Ms. Chesney has no website, and her birthdate and present living arrangements are as much a mystery as those presented in many of her books. Marion Chesney?s writing in Snobbery With Violence ? also in some of her other books ? may be somewhat of an acquired taste, however. There isn't the humor so evident in her M.C. Beaton novels. Ms. Chesney (or whatever her actual name is) writes Snobbery With Violence using the same clipped style she attributes to her Edwardian characters. The results, however, are no less entertaining and informative. Snobbery With Violence is not a mystery book you can easily put down.
