Bill Knox

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1928, William (Bill) Knox became the youngest journalist for a Glasgow newspaper at age 16. He then held a number of other jobs, including crime reporter, motoring correspondent and news editor.

Mr. Knox contributed a great deal both to radio and TV in his lifetime, and was probably best known for his work on the Scottish police liaison TV program 'Crime Desk.'

Bill Knox has written under several pseudonyms: Robert MacCleod, Michael Kirk, and Noah Webster - the latter two being used especially for American distribution.

Before his death, Mr. Knox lived in Glasgow with his wife and three children. Bill Knox leaves us with twenty-four Thane and Moss books as well as other crime novels. Mr. Knox died in March of 1999.
