Harlan Coben
Harlan Coben was born in Newark, New Jersey during the year 1962. Following his 1984 graduation from Amherst College as a Political Science major, he worked in the travel industry until he began writing full time.
Mr. Coben is a recipient of the Edgar, Anthony, and Shamus Awards - the very first author to win all three of these prestigious honors. Known best for his Myron Bolitar series (also based in New Jersey) Harlan Coben has also written a number of stand-alone mysteries, such as "Tell No One' which was the subject of a four-studio auction. Another thriller, 'No Second Chance' is the first International Book Club selection. It's touted in fifteen separate countries.
Harlan Coben is a tall man at 6'4" -funny and wise-cracking. Mr. Coben presently lives in New Jersey with his four children and his wife, Anne, a pediatrician and medical director of the Covenant House in Newark.
