Simon Brett
Simon Brett was born in 1945 at Worcester Park, Surrey, England. Mr. Brett received his education, studying English, at both Dulwich and Wadham Colleges in Oxford.
BBC Radio hired Mr. Brett in 1967, and until 1977 he was a producer there. After that Simon Brett worked for Thames Television.
Simon Brett has written and sometimes edited children's books, and his humourous adult novels can be found in all three of the series he writes - the Fethering books, books about Charles Paris, the actor, and novels featuring Mrs. Pargeter. Mr. Brett became a full-time writer in 1979.
Simon Brett is the driving force and author behind 'After Henry', 'No Committments', and 'How to be a Little Sod' - and his 'A Shock to the System' was made into a film starring Michael Caine.
Mr. Brett is a former President of the British Crime Writers Association and presently chair of the Society of Authors.
Simon Brett moved to the village of Burpham (near Arundel) in the South Downs of England in the early eighties, and lives there with his wife and three children.
