J. Carson Black

J. Carson Black (aka 'Jake', altho a female) was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Sorry - we do not know when. What we do is that J. Carson Black is the pseudonym for Margaret Falk, her actual name.

Ms. Black wrote from an early age, and her first attempt at a novel was a horror story, which evidently got sort of lost... J. Carson Black grew up with a pony and trips into the desert, then traveled around the country with her family.

In high school, Ms. Black became outstanding in the choir - and went on to study opera at the University of Arizona. We're not told where J. Carson Black sang, or with what company, but Ms. Black leaves no doubt that the life of a lyric opera singer wasn't exactly to her taste.

J. Carson Black wrote then for Raytheon Missile Systems, and finally published her debut novel in the murder-mystery field which came to the public's attention in January of 2005.

J. Carson Black lives with her husband and cats presumably still in Arizona. From the picture on the inside cover of the Signet book I'd say Ms. Black is also still fond of horses!
