Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza

Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza was born in Rio de Janeiro and still lives there. Probaby more famous in South America than in the United States, Mr. Garcia-Roza is a scientist, philosopher and psychiatrist - and he writes murder mysteries featuring psychological types and problems.

His featured fictional hero, the policeman Espinosa, represents an entirely new way of perceiving the mysteries of murder.

Although biographical information on this author is scarce, we know from his photograph that he cannot be young, and that he must have spent a number of years as a professional dealing with the vagaries of the mind before turning to writing.

Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza has written five Espinosa mysteries to this date, and promises to eventually rival the likes of Ruth Rendell.
