Stephen White
Stephen White was born on Long Island. Mr. White grew up in New York, then New Jersey, and then Southern California.
Stephen White briefly attended the University of California at Berkley for creative writing after completing his initial education, then graduated from Berkeley in 1972.
He studied clinical psychology and graduated with a Phd. from the University of Colorado in 1979. While still a student, Mr. White learned to fly small planes and worked as a tour guide for Universal Studios in Los Angeles, and was also a cook and waiter at Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley.
Later, Mr. White tended bar in Boulder, Colorado at the Red Lion.
Stedphen White became known as an authority on male marital disruption.
His research and articles have appeared in professional journals and books. Following graduation, Mr. White worked in provate practice, and the University of Colorado Health Center. Later on, Stephen White became the staff psychologist at the Denver Children's Hospital, concentrating on pediatric cancer patients.
Stephen White wrote his first novel in 1989, while still practicing full time - the start of a series featuring psychologist Alan Gregory, who is based in Boulder, Colorado. Since that time, Mr. White has extended his series to more than twelve novels.
Stephen White currently lives in Denver, Colorado with his family.
