Rhys Bowen

Rhys Bowen is actually the name of this lady's Welsh grandfather, and we don't know what her actual name is.

Ms. Bowen was born in England, though her mother's family came from Wales. She grew up in Bath, England, but visited her aunt in Llanfair, Wales during the summer.

Rhys Bowen attended schools and colleges in England, Austreia, and Germany. After securing her degree, Ms. Bowen worked for the BBC in the drama department, where she wrote a number of dramatized TV plays.

Rhys Bowen then accepted an offer from a broadcast company in Sydney, Australia, which is where she met her future husband. After marriage, Ms. Bowen and her husband traveled to San Francisco, where they have lived ever since.

Rhys Bowen has written childrens books and adult romances as well as the two mystery series - one about a Welsh constable in the present day and one about a feisty female private eye in 1901 when female private eyes were few and far between.

Rhys Bowen has won a number of awards with her writing, namely the Agatha, the Mary Higgins Clark, and the Romantic Times Reviewers Choice and Herodotus. She hasv also won the Anthony Award for a short story.

Ms. Bowen enjoys traveling, hiking, tennis, singing, sketching, and above all, playing with her three grandchildren.
