Kathy Reichs

Kathy Reichs is a forensic anthropologist for the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in the state of North Carolina. Ms. Reichs is also the forensic anthropologist for the Laboratoire des Sciences Judiciaires et de Medicine Legale for the province of Quebec, Canada.

All the above simply means she uses her protagonist, Dr. Temperance Brennan, to stand in for herself in the stories Ms. Reichs so aptly writes. Obviously, Kathy Reichs own knowledge and experiences have birthed her witten works.

As a forensic anthropologist, Kathy Reichs is internationally recognized. Ms. Reichs has been to Guatamala, Rwanda, and identified the remains of people from World War II as well as those at what was left of the World Trade Center in New York. Ms. Reichs has even examined the remains of the Unknown Soldier!

Kathy Reichs has witten six books to date, of which 'Bare Bones' is the latest. Her first effort won her the Ellis Award for First Novel. We don't know anything about her personal life. Kathy Reichs is probably not married (her work and travels would cetainly interfere with any home life) but she might well be for all we know. Evidently Ms. Reichs spends most of her time between North Carolina and Quebec.
