Jeanne M. Dams

A native of Indiana with a hankering for England, Victoriana and other antiques, hats, dollhouses, cats and Jack Daniels, Jeanne M. Dams also possesses degrees from Purdue and Notre Dame. Her love of England gave rise to the Dorothy Martin series about a widow living and sleuthing in that country - which gave Ms. Dams the Agatha Award for best first novel of 1995.

Jeanne Dams love of the old also gave rise to her second mystery series about a Hilda Johansson, living (of course) in South Bend, Indiana - but back in the early 1900's.

We don't know Ms. Dams age - never ask a woman her age! But she is married, and spends her spare moments between writing with her husband, her cats, and singing in a chamber choir. Jeanne M. Dams was also nominated for the coveted McCavity Award.
