Mildred Pierced is Stuart Kaminsky?s latest Toby Peters written effort, and hopefully not his last. For instance: Mae West, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Charlie Chaplin and Cary Grant are a few of the easily recognizable monikers in Stuart Kaminsky?s other Toby Peters murder mysteries. Mr. Kaminsky is far from association only with past stars, however - he's also intimately acquainted with a number of equally famous present-day screen names!

Stuart M. Kaminsky also writes an ongoing series featuring Porfiry Rostnikov, a Russian policeman, as well as another series about an Abe Lieberman who is a Chicago cop. In addition to The Rockford Files, Stuart Kaminsky is also known for his Lew Fonesca mysteries, non-series novels, biographies, and some non-fiction books.

Mr. Kaminsky is a recipient of the Edgar Award and the Prix de Roman D'Aventure of France. He's also been nominated for the Shamus and McCavity Awards. Stuart Kaminsky presently lives in Florida.
