Janet Gleeson
Janet Gleeson was born in Sri Lanka, daughter of a tea farmer. Her research and expertise in antiquity comes partly from Ms. Gleeson's degrees in both Art and English, plus her earlier experiences at Bonham's Auctioneers and Sotheby's Auction House (where Janet Gleeson worked in the Impressionist paintings department). Janet Gleeson was also an art and antiques correspondent for House and Garden.
Janet Gleeson has contributed a number of articles to such publications as Antique Collector, Country Life, and Apollo. Ms. Gleeson has additionally published several non-fiction books, among them The Arcanum - a tale of the creation of porcelain, told so well it almost seems like fiction! The Grenadillo Box is Ms. Gleeson's first foray into the actual fictional world - and a very successful one it is. Janet Gleeson currently lives in London.
