Russell Andrews

Russell Andrews is the pseudonym for Peter Gethers. Admitting he has to change his personality something like an actor becoming the part he is to play, Peter Gethers goes from being a rather gentle, compassionate man who writes about cats to a very hard-boiled, unsympathetic individual (for the bad guys) who can kill in print with no trace of emotion.

At least Mr. Russell's first book in the murder mystery field was written in collaboration. The book we read, which we assume was his latest, was done alone.

From the jacket photo and the lack of personal information on the web, we get the feeling that Russell Andrews aka Peter Gethers likes his privacy and his solitude. We don't even know what he looks like, since he hides behind dark glasses (a la Hollywood!) and clothing that completely covers his body. What we do know is that Russell Andrews by whatever name is a screenwriter, novelist and publisher with three bestsellers to his credit in the fiction department.

Mr. Andrews has homes in New York, Sag Harbor, and Sicily.
